Planned in the 1850s and developed through the late 19th century, St Vincent Place is of national cultural significance as Australia’s finest example of a residential square. Its refined urban design, historic gardens, and well-preserved 19th- and early 20th-century character make it a landmark of Melbourne’s early suburban development.
